Hey everyone! I figured I should properly introduce myself on this side of the microphone.
I'm DJ Dako, and I'm the person putting this Maple Radio revival together. The old community-radio feeling is what drew me to this project: a station to keep you company while you play, with real people picking songs and hanging out together.
I make music as DJ Dako too, and I've been adding my own tracks alongside the music we're getting permission to share. It's been fun watching the library grow and finding different moods for the station.
I'd love to know what would make a show worth tuning in for:
- A relaxed soundtrack for a long grind?
- Game soundtracks and familiar town themes?
- A particular genre, era or themed music block?
- More time for shoutouts and getting to know the people listening?
Tell me what you'd enjoy, or ask me something about the station. There isn't a perfect answer I'm looking for. I want this to feel like a place we build together.
For a specific song request, use the station's Request a song button so it reaches the request inbox.
Thanks for being here, and happy Mapling!
