Music must be cleared for this station

We review music against its license, publisher policy or direct permission. “Royalty-free,” “no copyright,” free download, a purchase receipt, or availability on a streaming platform is not by itself proof of radio permission. Our review must cover the recording and the underlying composition, collaborators, samples, performance and reproduction rights, permitted territories, and any publisher, distributor, or collecting-society restrictions.

A video-background license may not cover standalone radio. Creative Commons terms still require compliance, including attribution where applicable. Public-domain status must be checked for the specific recording and composition in the relevant territories. Entertainment-only or noncommercial operation does not remove these requirements.

Artist permission covers only rights that person can actually grant. An email, a paid music-generation subscription or a label such as “royalty-free” does not automatically clear a publisher's, co-writer's or performing-rights organization's rights. We seek permission for the actual radio use and review any remaining restrictions before airplay. The site does not represent its whole catalog as copyright-free or certify that third parties can use it without fees.

Nexon fan music

Nexon soundtrack selections rely on our interpretation of its fan-content policy. Nexon has not separately confirmed standalone radio use or coverage for any future sponsored broadcasts. Maple Radio currently receives no advertising or sponsorship revenue. These recordings remain copyrighted, are not royalty-free, and carry no permission for listeners to reuse them. Maple Radio is an independent fan site, not an official Nexon service. Track credits link to the source and Nexon's official music channel.

How the library works

New music starts in private review. Staff retain its source and permission evidence, check the exact audio, record credits, and approve or reject it. A checkbox, artist-profile verification code, or a title in our library is not an independent ownership guarantee. Approval is an internal review decision, not a certification to others. We can suspend a track while investigating a concern.

A listener request does not authorize playback. DJs may only use music cleared for the intended broadcast. Library approval does not start a broadcast or clear a separate stream provider’s catalog. Required credits must accompany the listening experience; audio-only broadcasts may need spoken credits.

Some station-created music was made using generative AI. It is subject to rights review too. AI involvement does not establish copyright ownership or exempt a track from sample, composition or recording restrictions. Ask support about a specific track if its credits need clarification.

We currently receive no advertising or sponsorship revenue. The creator permission below includes potential ad-supported use, but an artist's separate written agreement may be narrower. A policy change cannot expand that artist's grant; any later monetization must respect the permissions for each track.

For creators

Submit your original music through the community demo desk. You must be at least 18, control the rights you grant, disclose other rights holders and restrictions, and supply creation evidence. Submit a link to your song on your official artist page, not an audio file or direct download. Staff must verify your identity and retain written permission covering the recording and composition before importing it. A separate library review is required before airplay. You keep ownership. We do not sell your music, promise airplay, or pay royalties under the permission below. Do not submit if you cannot authorize all listed uses without fees owed by the station.

Maple Radio creator permission · 2026-10-12-v2

1. I am at least 18 years old and am the creator of this music. I own or control all rights needed in both the composition (including lyrics) and this recording, and have written permission from every other rights holder and performer, if any.
2. I have disclosed all collaborators, samples, loops, beats, publishers, labels and collecting-society or distributor restrictions. This is not an unauthorized cover, remix or recording of someone else’s work. No third party is owed a fee by Maple Radio for the uses I authorize below.
3. I give Maple Radio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to add this track to its music database, store and back it up with its hosting providers, make technical format or loudness adjustments, and stream and publicly perform the recording and composition on Maple Radio’s website and internet radio, including an ad-supported station. Maple Radio may display my artist name, track title, credits and artist link. I keep ownership. This does not authorize sale, standalone downloads, remixes, or reuse by listeners.
4. I understand submission does not guarantee acceptance or airplay. I may withdraw permission using my private submission receipt. Withdrawal removes the track from future approved use; it cannot undo past broadcasts. Maple Radio may retain a restricted copy of this permission and evidence for recordkeeping. My contact details and private evidence are not included in public credits; limited disclosure may be necessary for service providers, legal obligations, or rights disputes as explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. I agree to the Terms of Service, Community Rules, and Music & Creator Policy linked with this form, and have read the Privacy Policy. I understand how my information and permission record will be used and retained.

Your checked statements, signer name, wording, version, and timestamp are recorded with your submission. Your saved private receipt lets you withdraw permission. If you lose it, contact support; we must verify your authority before acting. Withdrawal removes the track from future approved use, but staff must also remove it from any external broadcast queue. Please report any continued playback promptly.

Credits and listener reuse

Approved library credits appear below. A direct permission to Maple Radio does not grant rights to listeners. For an openly licensed recording, consult the linked license and original source before reusing it; any independently granted rights remain intact.
